I love seeing riders get stronger — and I genuinely enjoy building a training schedule that fits.
No two riders are the same, so neither are their schedules. Working out what this particular rider needs, right now, towards this goal: that puzzle is the best part of the job for me.
Watching someone get stronger gives me satisfaction
I like helping people — making a cyclist better at their sport. Watching someone get stronger step by step, and the journey towards their goal: that gives me satisfaction. It's also one of the reasons I became a physician.
I've always genuinely enjoyed training myself, whether it was to improve my fitness or for a race. The build, the feeling it's heading somewhere, the week it all clicks. That's what I want to take riders along in.
As a physician I have solid knowledge of the human body, and as a coach I put that knowledge to work.
What makes my schedules different
The latest science, judged on its merits
I follow the latest insights in training theory closely and weave them into your schedule where useful: periodisation, new training forms, recovery. And thanks to my medical background and research experience I can genuinely judge those studies on their merits — not every hype is progress.
