Your FTP is an estimate. This is a measurement.
Two time trials — three and twelve minutes, at your own pace — and I know two things no app will tell you: how much power you can genuinely sustain, and how big your tank is above it. That's what I build your zones on — not a number your watch once guessed.

I look past the number
Most riders train on an FTP that came out of an estimate once and was never measured again. Zones set slightly too high turn every endurance ride into a tempo ride — and then you're training hard without moving forward.
This test measures two things separately: what you can sustain aerobically, and how much you have on top of that. Those two often move in opposite directions. Seeing both tells me whether your base grew or your peak did — and so what your next block needs.
I'm a physician and I've worked extensively with data analysis. I won't send you a printout of numbers, but my reading of them.
Never worked with me before? Good. This is the cheapest way to see how I look at things — and either way you end up with two numbers that are actually right.
